I am told we have had the last snowfall here in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Let’s hope they are right! Although by Canadian standards, the winter is pretty mild here, it still seems that the snow has been hanging around too long and the sun has not appeared as often as usual. So today, as temperatures reached into the positives and the last inch or two of snow was melting away, we are left with the remnants of decaying ‘snowmen’ and the usual parking lot snow mounds.
The clocks with shortly change and I can start thinking about cleaning up the BBQ ready for another long season of grilling, the odd glass of wine and/or a beer and watching the sun set over Lake Ontario.
As far as the real estate market is concerned, spring is always a good time list your home or to begin your search by visiting our lovely area. It will be a little while yet before the wineries open their terraces but at least you can walk around in comfort and visit some homes. You might be pleasantly surprised at how affordable many homes in the area can be. I hope to see you visiting soon.
